Attitude of Gratitude
“This blog entry is a little different and is more of an appreciation and honour moment. This weekend, Lisa hosted a ‘Christmas in July’ for the current Size Fantastic participants.
Before we sat down to eat, we had to share one thing that we were grateful for and, although it may seem like the obvious thing to say, I am so grateful to Lisa and the Size Fantastic team for all they do.
The purpose of the Christmas in July celebration is for Lisa to demonstrate how you can cater for a feast and be confident that what you are consuming is helpful not harmful to your body.
As I watched her prepare the food and talk through the benefits of the ingredients and the nutritional facts, I was blown away by the detail that had gone in to setting others up for success. I now feel like I can approach a special occasion, like Christmas, with confidence and excitement rather than fear and caution (thanks to the recipe’s Lisa passes on!).
What was also invaluable was being able to sit around a kitchen table and share with others about the journey we’re all on. We were able to share our ups, our downs and the little insights we’ve gained through this experience. There is nothing like being able to talk with people who understand the journey you are on. We’re able to support each other and cheer each other on.
So this week I am another week closer to being… “a happy, vibrant, healthy and nourished (physically and emotionally) size 12. I am powerful and in control so that I can set a healthy rhythm and pace for my life to achieve my goals, my purpose, and leave a long lasting impact.”
